Anne-Marie grew up in Marietta GA and moved to New York to attend Kings College, a small Christian school. Upon realizing her penchant for frugality, Anne-Marie transferred to Kennesaw State University in Georgia to take advantage of the Hope Scholarship — government-subsidized full tuition — and fell in love with psychology and statistics.
After college, Anne-Marie leveraged her background to land a job in Financial Planning & Analysis at a healthcare company in Atlanta and then in Pricing Development and Manufacturing Finance for a diversified paper substrate company. Over the last ten years, she has honed her financial acumen as she 1) assembled complex and comprehensive budgets for multi-million dollar corporations; 2) mitigated risk by leading determinations on financial disaster planning; 3) assessed long term profitability of new business opportunities; and 4) provided critical insight regarding spending and behavior from the board room to the shop floor.
While Anne-Marie delighted in the Finance experience, her passion to help people live their most fulfilled lives called her back to counseling and Psychology. Using fundamental financial concepts, Anne-Marie works hand-in-hand with her clients to align their spending with their core values to break unhealthy behavior patterns, create meaningful conversations around money, and achieve greater control over their finances and household.
On a personal note, Anne-Marie lives with her husband, Cary (her first client), in midtown Atlanta. They have two cats, Pericles and Arya, and love rooting for the Falcons, the Dawgs, and Atlanta United. You can find them strolling the Beltline, nerding out at trivia, or burning dinner.
